Despite the enthusiastic anticipation of the city’s residents for Halloween, a series of horrifying child abductions make their way to Portland, quickly spoiling the holiday spirit. Nick and Hank join forces with Valentina Espinosa (guest star Kate del Castillo), a mysterious detective from Albuquerque, to help find and capture the elusive suspect. Juliette joins their investigation, acting as the precinct’s fill-in Spanish translator. The more Nick digs into the case, the more he realizes the pattern of the kidnapping matches those in the famed Hispanic horror story “La Llorona,” a story with its roots intertwined with his own family’s history. Meanwhile, Monroe celebrates the holiday in fine style as he teaches the neighborhood bullies a lesson.

What a brilliant episode!! Definitely the best so far, although every episode this season has been great! I love the fact that we still don't really know what La Llorona is. Is she Wessen or is she a ghost? I guess we'll never know.....and I like that! Bitsie got to show off her Spanish speaking skills, which were muy bien. She's a multi talented lady. As for Monroe's halloween celebrations, they were awesome! I wish we had a guy like that living on our street as a kid! Helen

Growing up I was actually taught stories of the La Llorona whenever my sister or I acted up. She's almost a cross between a ghost and a demon, either way hearing about how she would snatch us up and take us if we didn't behve, worked well enough to settle my sister and I down lol.
The way La Lloroana worked out and how they incorporated her into the story worked really nicely and the makeup was terrifying!
I thought this episode was a great improvement over the week before, mainly because we got to see more progress on the Nick/Juliette/Renard love triangle.
Juliette & Nick (Bitsie/David) have great on-screen chemistry and I'm a sucker for my OTP I'm still hoping things work out for those two.

I'd never heard about the legend of La Llorona before so I really enjoyed learning the story. I really like how the writers are using other myths and legends outside of the Brothers Grimm, it definitely keeps you hooked to the show. I'm also rooting for Nick/Juliette. I do like happy endings!! Helen
